OUR MISSION STATEMENT:
It is the mission of the North Oakland Wolfpack as an association to be dedicated to the development of our youths in the sport of basketball. It is also our mission to promote and provide the practice of good sportsmanship, character and fair play. Our primary focus is on a competitive spirit to succeed, with fun for all participants, while never compromising the welfare and safety of our children.
OUR VALUES:
To place the emotional and physical well being of all players ahead of a personal desire to win. To treat each player as an individual. To do everything in our power to provide a safe playing situation for all players. To lead by example in demonstrating fair play and sportsmanship. To use coaching techniques that are appropriate for each of the skills that are taught. To remember that we are a youth sports organization and that the game is for the kids, not the adults.
VOLUNTEERISM IS THE BACKBONE OF THE WOLFPACK EXPERIENCE:
We are a totally volunteer organization with dedicated people working hard to ensure that your children have a fun and fulfilling experience. Most of our staff work full time and have many commitments but recognize the benefit of helping out with this worthwhile organization. Your involvement will help your child gain a sense of community as well as family. Since your child is a member of the North Oakland Wolfpack, you are as well! Your involvement is very important. Remember, your participation and support enhances your child's experience. |
